Welcome to CraftWorks at Cool Spring, where the arts, crafts, farming and
sustainable living connect people to the environment and their communities. We are a
non-profit craft and arts education organization, providing memorable and meaningful learning experiences for people of all ages and abilities. And we are growing the arts economy of Jefferson County through programs for working artists and artisans.
Our homeplace is historic Cool Spring, on 81 rural acres
south of Charles Town, W.Va. It’s
a place where people and the creative life come together along the
meandering waters of Bullskin Run.
CraftWorks has been made possible through the generosity and vision
of our founder, Linda Case. Linda has donated start-up funding, and is
welcoming CraftWorks to operate on land adjacent to her beloved Cool
Spring Farm. She plans to donate the CraftWorks land to the school, and
one day to donate her historic home and grounds to CraftWorks.
We hope you will be a part of CraftWorks, by taking a class,
attending a nature walk, coming to a lecture, or becoming a Friend of
Cool Spring.
See you at Cool Spring,

David Lillard, director
