Used to be creative and wonder where it’s gone? Looking for an inexpensive, accessible creative outlet that fits your style? This is the perfect class in which to explore. We’ll make tiles of all sizes with polymer clay (colors uniquely yours and no kiln needed) and beads, metal, even bits of nature. Some will be pretty, some haunting. Some will tell a story. You’ll learn all you need to know to get started with this versatile medium in our two evenings together. And you’ll go home with lots of mini-masterpieces and your head swimming with ideas of what to make next. Will you make a table top, a mirror surround, a box or a mosaic artwork? All skill levels welcome and encouraged.
This class will meet on two consecutive nights: Tuesday, March 27 & Wednesday, March 28. Materials fee: $14.
If you have worked with polymer clay or taken a polymer clay class at CraftWorks, this is your chance to continue exploring this versatile material. You’ll have plenty of workspace and equipment. Any materials you need will be available for purchase. Bring anything you want to work on and be sure to bring an ornate button, piece of jewelry or other texture that we can swap and make molds from (you’ll get your unharmed original back). We can see what others are doing with their work and learn from each other.
Studio fee $15, payable to the teacher plus the cost of any materials you choose to use.
